QuantiSense Customer Receives Accolades for Strategic Advancements

ATLANTA – June 21, 2012 – QuantiSense, the leading provider of retail business intelligence and decision orchestration solutions, today announced that Casual Male Retail Group’s senior vice president and CIO, Jack McKinney, has been named CIO of the Year by RIS News.

The 2nd annual CIO of the Year Awards, designed to recognize outstanding leaders who have helped drive their organizations to new levels of differentiation and performance, were presented at the RIS News Retail Executive Summit in San Diego last week. The awards honor retail CIOs who have helped guide their organizations through a time of intense competition and dramatic transformation.

Jack McKinney was honored for his “Strategic Impact” at Casual Male Retail Group(CMRG), the largest specialty retailer of big and tall men's apparel in the US. This award is presented to the CIO that implemented a project that is advancing their company in a new direction, market, or channel.

CMRG uses QuantiSense solutions as a central repository for merchandising intelligence across buyers, allocators, planners, store managers and the executive team. During 2011, CMRG leveraged the QuantiSense platform to help transform their business while launching a completely new store format — DestinationXL. CMRG relies on powerful retail analytics from QuantiSense to optimize local style assortments and maximize margins by ensuring they have the right products available at the right price, and the right time.

“I’m truly honored to be recognized for this achievement,” said Jack McKinney. “By working closely with QuantiSense, CMRG has really taken localized assortment to the next level – and it’s made a significant impact on our business,” continued McKinney.

The CIO of the Year awards were designed to look at how retail technology executives are adapting their organizations to the new retail environment. Each nomination required completion of a comprehensive survey that detailed the project or projects implemented, and how they have driven business value to the organization. The nominations also required specific detail about which areas of the business benefitted, what technologies were used, and what stage the project is in and the ROI timeframe for it. A panel of industry judges as well as the senior RIS editorial team made the final selection.

"Retailers have faced a particularly challenging environment in the last couple of years and it is an honor to be able to recognize those who have achieved success," said David Weinand, publisher for RIS News. "We are excited to honor the leaders in the industry as they look to provide their companies with the tools they need to re-position themselves for growth."
