Meet our Management Team

Jeff Buck

Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

Jeff, co-founder of QuantiSense, has a wide range of experience in business intelligence, project implementation, web technologies, and entrepreneurship. With a technical and business development background, Jeff brings a unique combination of strategy skills to QuantiSense. Jeff earned his B.A. and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering at Dartmouth College. While attending Dartmouth, he founded Dartmouth Formula Racing, an organization that builds formula style racecars for competition. Dartmouth Formula Racing continues to compete today.

Prior to starting QuantiSense, Jeff founded dotVantage, a company focused on creating analytical applications that enabled e-Commerce companies and other technology providers to understand customer behavior on the web. Jeff's background also includes extensive experience in building Business Intelligence applications for retail companies such as American Stores, Disney, and J. Crew.

Juan Esteban Pereira, Ph.D.

Chief Architect and Co-Founder

Juan, co-founder of QuantiSense, is a veteran data warehousing expert. Juan has deep, extensive experience in consulting, software development, technology management, and product marketing. In addition, Juan's operational expertise in data modeling and systems integration bring seasoned design experience to QuantiSense. Juan earned his Ph.D. at Cornell University in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering with focused research and study in the areas of Manufacturing Systems, Business Administration, and Mathematical Optimization. While at Cornell, Juan was awarded the university's McMullen fellowship.

Prior to starting QuantiSense, Juan ran a development team for MicroStrategy, the leading Business Intelligence applications provider, focused on building Analytical CRM applications for various industry verticals. In addition, Juan ran several large implementation projects for retail companies such as Kohl's, Shopko, SC Johnson, and Woolworth's during his tenure at MicroStrategy.

Andy Winans

President

As President and a Member of the Board of Directors at QuantiSense, Andy brings over 25years of experience in retail solutions and technology where he has run vertical teams in Sales, Marketing, and Product Management. He has expertise with integrated business intelligence solutions for retailers in the areas of Loyalty/CRM, Merchandising, Pricing, Promotion, Assortment and Space Planning. Prior to QuantiSense, Andy founded Walton Creek Ventures, a consulting company that specializes in helping start-up and early phase companies develop and execute growth strategies. Prior to WCV, Andy was President, Retail Product Leadership at The Nielsen Company, where he was responsible for global retail industry strategies. Before joining Nielsen, Andy was Vice President, Retail and CPG Solutions at Netezza. He successfully launched and grew the Retail and Consumer business into Netezza’s largest vertical. Andy has also worked at ems/Percipient, MicroStrategy, and Tandem. Andy started his career at NCR Corporation after earning his BS in Accounting from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Andy is also a member of the Board of Directors at MagnetVideo.

Evan Rogoff

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Evan is responsible for all financial and administrative activities of the company having helped scale numerous technology businesses for over a decade. Previously, Evan founded a boutique consulting firm to provide strategic, financial and operational advice to early-stage software companies. He has been Chief Financial Officer for dozens of companies which have grown and reached successful exits. Evan started his career at Arthur Andersen, where he was a manager in the corporate restructuring practice and part of the firm’s audit team. He is actively involved the community, including serving as President of the Technology Executives Roundtable and as a speaker at local technology forums. Evan graduated with high distinction from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has been a Certified Turnaround Professional.

Bill Robinson

Senior Advisor and Sales Executive

As a Senior Advisor for QuantiSense focusing on market strategy, Bill draws from his 35 years of experience in providing technology-based solutions to retailers. Prior to joining Quantisense, Bill served as Vice President of Marketing for STS Systems, a leading provider of retail technology solutions with more than 300 clients. Throughout his career Bill pioneered successful applications in all areas of retailing, including Point of Sale, Business Intelligence, and Supply Chain Management. Bill's deep background in, and passion for, the retail industry guides QuantiSense in its high level objective of delivering results oriented, innovative technology solutions for retail organizations. Bill is also a Professor of Marketing at Towson University in Towson, MD.

Alan Friedman

Executive Vice President of Professional Services

Alan is responsible for professional services and software development activities at QuantiSense. Throughout his career, he has led various professional services and software development teams, delivering successful enterprise applications while emphasizing on-time, on-budget delivery. Alan was most recently Vice President of Solutions Delivery at ChoicePoint, Inc., where he managed a professional services and software development team that implemented business critical applications and data warehouses. He has also held executive and leadership positions at EzGov, Turner Broadcasting System, and Andersen Consulting/Accenture. Alan holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Duke University.
