NAMCO Selects QuantiSense for Retail Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
Atlanta, GA — July 10, 2006 — QuantiSense today announced that NAMCO, America's largest retailer of swimming pools and related products and accessories, has selected QuantiSense as its retail business intelligence and data warehousing application.
QuantiSense allows NAMCO to gain deeper insight into their business, informing critical decisions as they open new stores, expand operations, and broaden their merchandise mix. Having recognized the tremendous opportunity for selling accessories and supplies to swimming pool purchasers, NAMCO wanted to put hard data and insight behind their evolving marketing strategies.
"We were using a mix of our homegrown AS/400 system and Excel for reporting, but found it cumbersome to adapt these to the rapid growth and change in our business," said Tim O'Connor, Chief Information Officer at NAMCO." He added, "The QuantiSense application will give us one version of the truth, and gives us the ability to look at our business in ways we never could have before. QuantiSense made such a positive impact with the Buyers and Planners in my last position, I immediately recommended it to our executive team in my new role at NAMCO."
Following its standard implementation methodology, QuantiSense will deliver the application in less than 100 days including:
- Role-based dashboards and interactive reports for Executive Analysis, Merchandising, Finance, and Store Operations
- Playbook Scenarios for using best practices to turn insights into action
- A comprehensive and extensible retail data warehouse including the Retail Learning Infrastructure for highlighting exceptions and business opportunities
- Staging, extraction, transformation, and loading from numerous source systems
- End-to-end data validation so users are always confident in their numbers.
"So much of QuantiSense's success stems from our customers embracing the QuantiSense application from executives to analysts," said QuantiSense CEO Jeff Buck. He added, "At NAMCO, we are fortunate to be working with a top-notch executive team who recognizes business intelligence as a springboard for reaching a new level of growth and operational effectiveness."
